NCT Skills shortlisted for Pride of Construction Awards
NCT Skills 4 Life has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Training Provider Award at this year’s CITB Pride of Construction Awards.
The Awards identify the achievements of individuals and organisations that are inspiring the next generation and revitalising the image of the construction sector.
The evening will celebrate the achievements of apprentices, employers, training providers and strategic partners dedicated to the skills and training agenda.
Over 200 applications were whittled down to the shortlisted few ahead of the Awards Dinner on Wednesday 25th November.
Within five years NCT turnover has increased to £2.8 million with over 300 trainees and apprentices completing training. Working very closely with local employers and the CITB to help the government hit its target of 3m apprentices and fill the significant skills gap regionally within construction.
In the next 12 months, NCT are looking to expand geographically with a number of new initiatives on the horizon and newly formed sister company 180 Training about to be launched, providing skills support for redundant and unemployed working with initiatives such as ESF back to work programme.
Jamie Paterson, Director at NCT, said: “It is a fantastic achievement for NCT to be shortlisted for this award. There have been a lot of positive changes in the business over the last few years, which have heavily influenced our approach to learner training and engagement with employers.
“The excellent feedback we have been getting from learners and employers over the last 18 months has been a result of the effort and commitment of our team. We’re incredibly proud of them for working so hard to get us into a position where we are competing for a national award.”
