Carringtons Catering welcomes new Events Manager
As part of on-going company development, Carringtons Catering has welcomed a new Events Manager to its expanding team.
Sophie Leadbetter, from Ormskirk, has joined the Roby Mill based catering firm following the completion of a First Class degree in Hospitality Business Management. Having built on a wealth of academic and industry experience, the 24-year-old previously worked in a number of notable venues across the UK including London’s prestigious Grosvenor House.
Sophie said: “I first came into contact with Carringtons Catering while attending a dinner party. After being so impressed with the food and service, I was determined to pursuit a career with the company, therefore it is a real honour to have become part of the team.
“It gives me a real sense of pride to work with esteemed venues such as Liverpool Town Hall, Sefton Park Palm House and The Great Hall at Mains to name a few. What I most love about my new role is the sheer diversity of it - whether it be managing intimate wedding breakfasts or corporate dinners for 500, every day is completely different.“
Sophie will work alongside Director Helen Wynn, Master Chef of Great Britain Darren Wynn and General Manager Mally Best, together with the independent firm’s team of more than 30 staff.
Helen said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sophie on board, as her enthusiasm and natural passion for the industry is instantly apparent. Sophie’s hands of role means that she will work closely with our GM and the front of house team to ensure the smooth running of all private and corporate events spanning across the North West.
“With a strong hospitality background Sophie has already become such a valuable addition to the team. With demand for bespoke hospitality on the increase, we are excited to see what the future holds for Carringtons Catering.“
