Merseyside supercar company expands in Hong Kong
Briggs Automotive Company (BAC), a sports car firm based in Merseyside, has launched a new showroom at the Nan Fung Commercial Centre in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.
According to a MotorTradeNews.com report, eight of the 12 vehicles to be allocated to the new dealership annually were sold at the opening party.
BAC, which operates from a facility in Speke, Liverpool, is the company behind the Mono, a 300+ bhp supercar.
The firm’s founder, Neill Briggs, said at the opening night: “The launch of BAC Hong Kong and BAC Japan demonstrates the global success of the Mono supercar. For us as a British company to take our brand new UK-built 2016 Mono to all corners of the globe makes us immensely proud.
“BAC recognises the importance of the Far East Asia market, which is backed up by the demand for our cars to date.”
He added: “We wanted a showroom in the heart of the market to offer our completely bespoke sales experience; the type you would expect when you are buying a tailor-made luxury product.”
Speaking further, Neill said that with BAC operating divisions in the US and East Asia, the firm is now in a position to reach “the next level”.
Neill continued: “The fact that we have also recently gained EU approval takes us a step closer to taking Mono to the world.”
