Fleetcare Maintenance launches Stockport testing centre following six-figure investment
Vehicle repair firm Fleetcare Maintenance has launched a new HGV-authorised testing centre in Stockport.
The launch forms part of a £150k investment supported by NatWest and its asset finance partner, Lombard.
The testing hub at the Conway Centre includes new facilities for carrying out MOTs and an inspection pit for both HGV and PSV vehicles, potentially increasing Fleetcare Maintenance’s capacity to cater for commercial customers.
Les Brady, who founded the company in 1992, said: “Many of Fleetcare Maintenance’s existing client base are commercial operators and so it made sense for their next area of growth to expand upon our provision for larger vehicles.
“We have an ongoing commitment to our customers to provide fantastic facilities using the latest in technology and equipment, and customers will benefit from a high level of service and an efficient turnaround, which is crucial for commercial operators.”
Fleetcare Maintenance has also put its team of 10 through further training to coincide with the launch of the testing centre.
When Les needed to secure funding for the expansion, he turned to Janet Wedderburn, a relationship manager with NatWest, for support. Working with Lombard Asset Finance, Janet was able to obtain a six-figure loan to facilitate Les’ plans.
Les said: “Janet and the team at NatWest have been very supportive of Fleetcare Maintenance and our business goals. They understand how our business operates and we have a partnership with the bank.”
Discussing the funding, Janet said she was “delighted” to offer help to Fleetcare Maintenance.”
She said: “The business has been providing outstanding services to its customers for more than 20 years and Lee and the team at Fleetcare Maintenance are committed to evolving the business to support its future growth.
“I wish them every success for the future.”
The property and equipment have received full approval from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
