Day 23: FedEx festive top tips for small businesses
#23 Looking to the Future
Christmas is coming and at FedEx we want to help your business be fully prepared this festive season. For today’s top tip, please see below:
With the festive season coming to an end, you’re probably thinking about putting your feet up and eating mince pies beside a roaring fire. Before you do, look ahead to 2016 to find how to grow your business further.
Perhaps 2016 is the year for your business to start exporting, if it doesn’t currently do so, or to enter additional markets to widen your customer base. If you’re new to exporting begin by entering markets or countries that are slightly closer to home or where English is one of the main languages so you can test the water. You can also enlist the help of your logistics provider who should be able to advise you on the markets to enter and how to go about exporting. Doing so could really boost your business as well as the wider UK economy. Our FedEx Great British Export Report 2015 revealed small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are making a positive contribution to narrowing the UK trade deficit, as the financial value of their exports exceeded that of their imports.
There are rich prospects out there and these should be considered so your business continues to grow and prosper – there’s a whole world waiting, so don’t miss out!
