BW Legal set for employment boost following growth period
Leeds-based BW Legal has announced plans to grow its team by 50 people next year.
Rachael Withers, the firm’s COO said: “We’ve been going from strength to strength. Our reputation has continued to grow as we focus on two things; doing a good job and looking after our people. We find that making sure our team is happy ensures productivity and great client service – which clearly shows.
“We picked up the award for Legal Recovery Firm of the Year for a third time at Credit Today’s Debt Collection Awards this November and have recently been shortlisted for Legal Team of the Year at the British Credit Awards (having won Third Party Debt Collector of the Year 2015). We can thank having such a great team for that.
“We have lots of new business coming in, and plans for more, so we’re looking to increase the size of our team over the next 12 months. We understand the importance of having the best people with the right skills, so we offer training throughout the careers of those who work for us.”
BHP Corporate Finance advised BW Legal on its recent development capital fundraising and worked closely with Santander to put the funding in place which will allow them to pursue its growth plans.
Rachael added: “We were pleased that BHP and Santander saw the growth opportunity for us in the debt collection and recovery market and have really supported us so that we are now in the right position to grow quickly.”
Partner Hamish Morrison from BHP also commented: “BW Legal is an excellent firm which really excels in its area of expertise. The business’ success is down to its focus on its clients and its people. Their use and development of technology also sets them apart from their competitors. We are pleased to be working with them and glad to support them as they create more employment in our local area.”
