Super Humans recruit magical beings for Rotherham charity
A Rotherham-based recruitment consultancy is donating its services free of charge to a magical charity opening a workshop in the town centre.
Human Recruitment, based in Moorgate Crofts Business Centre, has pledged to support Rotherham charity Grimm and Co, offering their recruitment services free of charge to source a volunteer co-ordinator after the charity benefitted from a boost in funding through the Big Lottery Fund earlier this year.
The volunteer co-ordinator role has been developed to give someone the opportunity to become a part of the budding charity, help develop their brand and oversee a range of duties including recruiting new volunteers and sourcing stock, to arranging events and participating in workshop activities.
Since 2013, Human Recruitment has supported some of the largest businesses in the region to find the right candidates to join their workforce, as well as supporting local community initiatives and good causes through sponsorship and fundraising. With a sprinkle of fairy dust and a magical potion or two, the quest to find a valiant volunteer co-ordinator has begun.
Grimm and Co is a Yorkshire charity inspiring children and young people to unlock their imagination and take part in literary arts such as song writing, storytelling and film making. Offering a touch of magic and enchanting products that wouldn’t be out of place at Hogwarts, Grimm and Co is set to open a land of magic with their apothecary selling wizarding products for the mere mortals, situated on the site of the former Town Gate pub.
As well as selling potions and products, behind a secret door the apothecary has an area where children’s imaginations are allowed to run wild. Children are able to create drawings, stories and a whole host of other products which will be sold in the store and is part of the Inspire Rotherham initiative, which Grimm and Co Director Deborah Bullivant is the executive director of.
Deborah Bullivant, Director at Grimm and Co, said:
“Winning the Big Lottery Fund was a great achievement for us. It means we’re able to fund the recruitment of a volunteer co-ordinator and issue specific training for the role. We knew we wanted a respected, trustworthy recruitment agency to help us find the right person, and Human Recruitment fit our brief perfectly.
“Opening the new store is a huge job for us this year and it gives comfort knowing Human are supporting us with the recruitment side of the business. We rely on volunteers to help inspire children to create through writing and literacy and the volunteer co-ordinator role is designed to manage our volunteers and the day to day running of the workshop.
“Our organisation aims to inspire the young people of Rotherham to participate in literacy activities and finding the right person is essential. Human has a track record of providing a professional and truthful approach to recruitment and we are pleased they are a part of our venture whilst kindly offering their services free of charge.”
Amy Stephenson, Founder of Human Recruitment, said:
“At Human Recruitment, people are at the heart of our business. From day one of launching, supporting the local community and charity initiatives has been at the forefront of our business model.
“When we were offered the chance to recruit for Grimm and Co it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass. They are a charity based in the heart of Rotherham hoping to inspire and promote the benefits of literacy to young people. Human is honoured to be supporting this charity during an exciting time in their development.”
