New service keeps business data secure for £99 per year

Sheffield based shredding and document management company, Russell Richardson have launched a confidential waste shredding service to ensure the region’s SMEs stay compliant with data protection regulation and protect against data theft. For a one off payment of £99 per year, Russell Richardson will collect, shred, recycle and provide certification for a sack of confidential waste each month.

The entry level package includes collection, a certificate of destruction emailed after each collection, plus an annual duty of care, reminders of collection dates and peace of mind – they even supply the security sack.

In addition to ensuring everything needed for data protection compliance is part of the package, the service is environmentally friendly as all the paper shredded is recycled into soft tissue products at the local mill. “Responsibility for data protection is an issue for businesses of all sizes, especially as regulations continue to tighten and public awareness grows. It only takes one document to end up in the wrong hands and a breach has occurred. An investigation for non-compliance follows and a company’s reputation is damaged,” added Jonathan. “All our staff are security cleared and our fleet of vehicles tracked so your data is safe until it arrives at our secure depot in Attercliffe. We also ensure that all confidential waste is shredded on the same day as it is collected before sending out certificates.”
