York developer completes sale of £4.3m Catterick B&M retail unit
York-based S Harrison has sold a newly developed £4.3m retail unit on Richmondshire Walk in Catterick Garrison to a private investor.
The privately-owned development firm pre-let the 25,000 sq ft unit to value retail chain B&M Stores for a fifteen year term. The new store successfully opened its doors last month and created 30 new jobs for the town.
The building is located on Gough Road and sits next to Catterick Leisure Centre and Tesco Extra within the Richmondshire Walk development which S Harrison developed in 2000.
Other household names at Richmondshire Walk include Card Factory, McDonalds, Greggs and William Hill.
Director Clancy from S Harrison, said: “The level of interest that we had in this investment opportunity demonstrates the confidence that surrounds Richmondshire Walk and Catterick Garrison’s property market as a whole.
“This building is the final piece of the jigsaw at Richmondshire Walk. There’s no doubt B&M will be a great tenant and is ideally placed to take advantage of the growing town centre that was further boosted by the opening of the Princes Gate shopping centre earlier this year.”
