The Liverpool ONE Busaba will be the brand's second North West restaurant

Liverpool ONE to welcome Thai restaurant Busaba

Thai dining brand Busaba is set to launch its second restaurant outside London with a new eatery in Liverpool ONE.

Grosvenor Fund Management (GFM), the company behind Liverpool’s £920m retail and leisure complex, has revealed that Busaba will occupy 5,418 sq ft of space at 111 to 116 Hanover Street.

GFM’s director of portfolio management, Miles Dunnett, commented: “The signing of Busaba marks the successful completion of a strategy to establish Hanover Street as one of the most up-and-coming dining destinations in the North West.

“The authenticity of the brand is a great complement to Hanover Street and the Rope Walks, and Busaba adds even more choice to the already strong dining and leisure offer Liverpool ONE provides residents and visitors alike.”

Real estate firms Cushman & Wakefield and Metis Real Estate Advisors acted on behalf of Liverpool ONE during the deal, while Busaba remained unrepresented.

The CEO of Busaba, Jason Myers, said: “We’re extremely excited to be bringing the Busaba restaurant experience to Liverpool; our regional expansion is hugely significant for the business and this will be our second restaurant in the North West for 2016.

“We have heard much about the success of Liverpool ONE, which put it at the top of our list as we sought the location for our next restaurant, so we are very excited to be opening in the city and to welcome in the people of Liverpool to sample the true taste of modern Bangkok.”

The restaurant is one of a number of new dining businesses established or upcoming at Liverpool ONE, including Reds True BBQ, Wahaca and Turtle Bay, as well as Roxy Ball Room.

The shopping hub managed to buck a national trend in 2015 after seeing its visitor numbers soar.
