Kingsley Healthcare begins recruitment drive following £6m care home milestone

Nursing home operator Kingsley Healthcare is kicking off its drive to fill up to 100 jobs as construction work on its multi-million pound dementia facility in Greater Manchester hit a new milestone this week.

The roof is now in place on the 62-bedroom care home in Partington, paving the way for Bolton contractor Seddon to start work on the interior fittings.

Kingsley has said it is ready to begin the recruitment process, with a view to having its team in place for a July opening. Jobs available at the £6m site will range from nurses and carers to chefs and gardeners.

The regional director of Kingsley Healthcare, Ryk Izycki, said: “Our first priority is to appoint a home manager on a very good package who will then oversee the recruitment process.

“Kingsley plans to continue to expand in the North West. We are eyeing other potential sites in the area for developments that will create further jobs and assist regeneration.”

The Partington care home, being built on the former paint factory site on Wood Lane, will include a library, hairdresser, tea room, cinema and sun room. Once complete, the facility will also serve as the centre of Kingsley Healthcare’s training programmes.
