Rebrand for London online hair and beauty marketplace Wahanda
London-headquartered online hair and beauty marketplace Wahanda has announced it is rebranding to Treatwell from today.
Wahanda’s rebrand is part of the company’s strategy to bring the disparate parts of its business under one name following a string of acquisitions in the hair and beauty sector last year.
The newly named Treatwell group, which employs over 500 people across Europe, is targeting turnover in excess of £75m in 2016 having been in operation for eight years.
Lopo Champalimaud, founder of Wahanda and CEO of Treatwell group, said: “As we continue to pursue our global ambitions it makes sense to move forward under one single brand, not just from a cost perspective, but improved customer and venue experience.
“This is a project we have been working on for six months and are really excited that we no longer have to keep the good news under wraps. We can now share our single vision and mission under a unified brand.”
New product developments and a high profile advertising campaign will form a core part of the transformation, as the company looks to build on the ten million people currently booking hair and beauty appointments through the site.
“This is a really exciting time for the hair and beauty market as people increasingly invest in experiences,” Lopo added.
“We as a company believe in the power of self-expression and want to connect customers to experiences that allow them to express who they are. Treatwell captures the spirit that has always been at the heart of what we do, the belief that beauty is for everyone.”
