Bella Italia to open New Brighton restaurant as part of UK-wide expansion
Bella Italia, the Italian restaurant chain, is opening a new restaurant at the Marine Point development in New Brighton.
The brand’s operator, Casual Dining Group (CDG), has said the launch forms part of a wider strategy to open 40 new sites by 2017 and create 1,000 jobs per year for the foreseeable future.
Bella Italia’s unit at Marine Point will undergo a £500k refurb next month, bringing it in line with the company’s new Mediterranean theme. CDG expects the restaurant to open by March.
The £60m Marine Point regeneration scheme from Liverpool-based developer Promenade Estates has already attracted a number of restaurant chains, including Prezzo, Pizza Express and Marino Lounge. Further, independent eatery United Kitchen launched in December 2015, while fish-and-chip restaurant Harry Ramsden’s will open later this year.
Promenade Estates’ director, Daniel Hynd, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Bella Italia to Marine Point.
“Our aim for New Brighton was to create a high quality leisure destination for families, and the addition of Bella Italia, a well-loved family friendly restaurant brand, will complement the great restaurant offering already available at the development.”
