Continued growth results in new Sheffield office for Local Care Force

Nursing, Social and Community Care agency Local Care Force has expanded its operations and relocated into new premises in Sheffield’s Cathedral Quarter, to support its continued growth in the city.

At just under 3000 sq ft, the former run down café on Campo Lane has undergone a significant refurbishment.

The premises now includes bespoke hand spray painted walls and exterior by local artist Pete Barber, three separate interview rooms for candidates and a state of the art training room for the specialist training it delivers to its staff and clients.

Following a successful 2015, which saw the business turnover in excess of £12m, Sheffield achieved almost £3m, an increase of 28% in the past 16 months, making the move both necessary and possible.

With 11 permanent staff, including two new since the move, a Clinical Lead Nurse and on-call co-coordinator, the Sheffield branch has almost 400 temporary nurses, care workers and support workers on its books, and supplies over 75 organisations with approximately 598 different services.

Elaine Adams, branch manager, said: “Relocating to our new premises is just the start of great things for Local Care Force in 2016. We opened our doors in the city in 2010 and have experienced consistent year on year growth. This new office space and its incredible and specially designed frontage, will hopefully ensure that we are the first choice for anyone looking for work in the industry, and increase footfall into the branch.

“We are also especially excited about the new training facility which will allow us to grow that side of the business and to continue to fulfill the existing requirements. We provide specialist training to ensure that everyone on our books is up to date at all times, enabling them to provide the best possible care to all patients and clients. We also offer ‘The Care Certificate’ training for anyone looking to move into the care industry and so our new training suite will also support this greatly.”

Over the last decade, Local Care Force has grown consistently year on year by 28 - 30 % and its team of over 1200 provides 19,000+ hours per week of care and support to hundreds of people across Yorkshire. The business supplies temporary nursing, support and care staff to care providers and directly to the community, and proudly boasts a perfect Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating for the last seven years.

Established in 2004, LCF has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester and has plans to open a fourth branch in York later this year. It is the preferred supplier of many large private, public and charitable organisations, providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions including fully trained and specialist qualified Nurses through to Complex health carers.
