Preston-based Conlon Construction appointed to seven-figure framework
Family-run building firm Conlon Construction has secured a place on a regional framework offering projects valued between £500k and £2m.
The Preston-headquartered company was given the thumbs up for the Low Value Framework by the North West Construction Hub (NWCH), having already secured a place on its Medium Value Framework in February last year.
Discussing the appointment, Conlon Construction’s chairman, Michael Conlon, said: “Being appointed to frameworks such as these are testament to the quality of work that we deliver and to have been selected for two bands is a great opportunity for the business.
“Procurement via frameworks is very common with public sector projects as it delivers greater efficiencies in terms of cost and timescales, so we’re pleased to have been pre-approved for work of this nature across the North West of England.”
A total of 12 contractor firms have been chosen for the Low Value Framework, which comprises 10 lots across the North West’s five counties.
The NWCH, established in 2010, was launched in response to the government’s drive to improve boost construction activity across Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.
