Durham based creative agency turns 10
A Chester-le-Street based full-service creative agency is celebrating its tenth year in business this month.
The Works Group, originally based in Gateshead, was started in 2006 by three of the company’s directors – Ian Oswald, Barry Pollock and John Simpson- after working together for several years.
Since then, The Works has grown to an expanding team of over 20 who work with a variety of clients across the UK and provide a range of branding, marketing, advertising and digital services.
Barry Pollock, managing partner, said: “The last 10 years has flown by! A lot of people, including our team, clients, suppliers and friends have helped us get to where we are now and we want to celebrate this birthday with them – we know that we wouldn’t be the agency we are today if it wasn’t for their loyalty and support over the years.”
Last year, The Works added web development and digital services to their portfolio after merging with Alnwick based web agency, Chocolate Grape, to form The Works Digital, which has already proven a successful merge for the company.
Managing partner, Ian Oswald, said: “This milestone is a huge achievement for us and one that we’re very proud of. We’ve grown considerably over the past decade and with it our team, client base and service offering.”
The agency has started celebrating their achievement by launching their brand new website and enjoying their own version of a children’s 10th birthday party- complete with party games and retro party food and has plenty more events and activities planned for the rest of the year.
Ian, added: “We are very much looking forward to celebrating our 10th birthday over the coming year, including fund raising event to support a variety of good causes and a ball to thank our team, clients, suppliers and friends who have supported us over the last 10 years.”
