Manchester voice agency expands with London acquisition

Manchester-based voice agency The Voiceover Gallery has expanded its reach in the South with the acquisition of London agency Articulate Voices.

The Voiceover Gallery, which already has offices in the Castlefield and Farringdon areas of the capital, will take responsibility for Articulate Voices’ existing client portfolio following the transaction.

The deal sees The Voiceover Gallery grow its current roster to more than 700 voice actors across 40 languages.

The company’s managing director, Marylou Thistleton-Smith, commented: “After celebrating our tenth anniversary last year, this is a great acquisition for us and 2016 is shaping up to be our best year yet.

“It’s a really positive move for the growth of the company and having taken on a number of experienced voice artists from Articulate, represents fantastic news for our clients across the world.”

She added: “It’s not everyday that these opportunities come about, so we had to move quickly. We are genuinely excited about working with Articulate’s clients and as well as continuing to provide a great service, building new long term relationships.”

The Voiceover Gallery was founded in 2005 and has since worked with companies such as broadcasters ITV and the BBC, as well as production firm The Gate Films.

Established in 2011, Articulate Voices’ client list includes performance capture business Side UK, which has worked on the Assassin’s Creed game franchise and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
