Ryanair reveals Winter 2016 schedule at Manchester Airport

Irish airline Ryanair is set to grow its presence at Manchester Airport by 33% with the launch of its upcoming winter schedule.

In addition to its new routes to Germany, the carrier will introduce winter services to eight other European destinations, including Limoges and Carcassonne in France, and the Slovakian capital Bratislava.

Along with further flights on existing services, Ryanair’s new routes at Manchester Airport, which will also take passengers to Valencia, Murcia and Malta, will support 3,100 on-site jobs and deliver 4.1m customers annually.

Manchester Airport’s managing director, Ken O’Toole, said: “We are pleased to see one of our largest carriers add new routes and increase frequency at Manchester Airport.

“The introduction of flights to Nuremberg, where Ryanair will be the only carrier on the route, has been widely welcomed by key corporates in the North West and will see further growth in business and inbound tourism from a key strategic European market.”

He continued: “It is pleasing to see the additional jobs created by Ryanair’s growth and further illustrates the positive impact of a growing Manchester Airport in supporting economic growth for the region.”
