Stockport firm Innova to boost turnover with £500k investment drive

Interiors and furniture manufacturer Innova Design Solutions has expanded its headquarters and hired six new faces as part of a £500k investment in the business.

The firm has ploughed the cash into expanding its Stockport base by a third and increasing its manufacturing output with the installation of a new packaging and finishing line.

Innova has also hired a new finance and administration manager, contracts manager, production manager and welcomed newcomers to its design and estimation teams.

Following the investment, Innova has now forecast turnover growth of 21% in 2016.

Director Peter Smith said: “It’s fantastic to be able to start the year on a positive note, talking about expansion and job creation - two phrases that all business owners love.

“With the completion of a clutch of high profile projects, 2015 was an extremely successful year for Innova.”

He continued: “Building on this, our multi-sector product offer and varied pipeline of projects for 2016 mean we are now in a fantastic position where we can invest in our facilities and increase capacity with a host of talented new recruits.

“Central to this investment in the business is the installation of brand-new, specialist equipment that will give us the ability to manufacture more flexibly and manage even higher volume orders.”

Innova plans to invest further in new machinery over the coming months.
