Landmark's BeeHive celebrates team’s fundraising and CR achievements

Property, land and environmental data specialist, Landmark Information Group has launched a brand new portal called BeeHive – found at dmgilp-beehive.com – to recognise the personal fundraising achievements of its team, in addition to the wider Corporate Responsibility (CR) initiatives led by the company.

Branded BeeHive to reflect the collective efforts of 400+ strong team – comparable to bees working together in a hive – the portal showcases a number of fundraising events and CR programmes undertaken by the team from the last year.

This includes sponsored runs that total over 150km in distance, cycling challenges that reach over 3,000km, including those backed by Landmark’s partner and World Championship cycling medallist Jessica Varnish. In total, over £73,000 was raised during the 2014/2015 financial year, with ambitions to exceed this amount during the current financial year.

Landmark, which is part of the dmgi::land&property (dmgilp) group of businesses, is the first of eight companies to showcase its efforts on the portal.

Mark Milner, CEO of dmgilp, said: “I am overwhelmed by the amount personal time staff have generously volunteered to help causes and charities less fortunate. Charities are a personal choice and BeeHive has been deliberately developed to support this. Everyone across the board has got involved, from senior executives through to front-line staff, all of whom have baked, cycled, run, swam and even slept rough in support of causes that are important to them.”

The portal not only showcases successful initiatives but is used to help generate sponsorship at the outset. As part of the company’s CR policy, Landmark provides support to help employees’ involvement in community-based sport and leisure fundraising events.

BeeHive also provides a dedicated place where details on the latest challenges, community programmes and employee welfare schemes can be found, as well as keeping track of sponsorship monies raised.

Concludes Mark Milner: “There is a desire across the Landmark business to support community initiatives as well as charities that are personally close to people’s hearts. BeeHive helps to tell the stories behind the fundraising challenges and CR programmes. Other businesses across the dmgilp group will be engaging with BeeHive and so I’m really excited to see what 800+ people can achieve over the coming year.”
