Sheffield leisure organisation makes waves with Hallam FM business partnership
A Sheffield leisure and entertainment organisation has forged a new business partnership with one of the region’s largest commercial radio stations.
SIV, part of the Sheffield City Trust (SCT) Group, has teamed up with Hallam FM on an initial 12-month contract, meaning the city radio station will become the organisation’s official radio media partner.
SIV runs various sports and leisure venues across the region including the Sheffield Arena, Sheffield City Hall, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre and iceSheffield. SIV’s primary aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Sheffield.
Hallam FM, one of South Yorkshire’s biggest commercial radio stations, features chart and adult contemporary music. Its content also includes up-to-date traffic news, award winning news coverage, events and competitions.
SIV and Hallam will work together on a variety of different projects over the course of the 12-month partnership, such as the Hallam FM Hero Awards.
Melinda Schofield, group sales at SIV, said: “This is a great opportunity for us and Hallam to work together on some fantastic projects.
“I’m very excited about the deal we’ve signed. Opportunities like this don’t come around all the time and I’m looking forward to being able to spread the word about SIV’s proactive role in developing Sheffield’s economic, cultural and sporting profile.
“Partnerships such as these aid our growth. I’m sure this will prove to be extremely fruitful and I’m looking forward to the synergy between two organisations which are part of Sheffield’s heritage.”
Deborah Tracey, regional marketing manager at Hallam FM, added: “We are really excited to be working in partnership with SIV and the opportunities this will create.
“Hallam FM has been on air for over 40 years and only by having unique relationships with fantastic organisations like SIV can we continue to reflect everything that is unique about our city and the great people that live here.”
