Digital marketing agency becomes second letting of 2016 at The Shard
Global digital marketing agency Jellyfish is to move into The Shard, making it the second major letting for the building this year.
Real Estate Management (REM) have today announced that Jellyfish will expand from its current base in Surrey to The Shard at London Bridge, taking up a 10 year lease on 9,017 sq ft of office space on the 22nd floor of the building dubbed ‘the Vertical City’.
The marketing company, which was founded in 1999, follows Matchesfashion.com in making the Shard its new London home in 2016, and joins 27 other companies currently taking up residence in the building.
Ahead of the move, Rob Pierre, Chief Executive Officer at Jellyfish, commented: “We’re excited to be moving into such an iconic building, amongst some of the most powerful media brands in the world.
“The business has seen significant global growth over the past three years and we’re confident that this move into The Shard will further galvanise growth and success for our business.
“The opportunity is huge, as we broaden our foothold in London and hope to attract more businesses to partner with us for their digital marketing solutions. The Shard will also be home to our training and consultancy offering which teaches brands from all over the world the key disciplines involved in a successful digital marketing strategy.”
The news comes off the back of a successful 2015 for London’s tallest building, which saw 12 new occupiers take up space in The Shard.
In a joint statement, Irvine Sellar, The Shard’s developer, co-owner, and vice-chairman of REM and James Goldsmith, Leasing Director of REM, said: “We had a very successful year in 2015, which saw our vision for creating a vertical city really come to life.
“The latest signing of Jellyfish further demonstrates the building and wider area’s appeal to the media sector.
“With only 10% of the office space at London Bridge Quarter still remaining available, we will be working hard to attract further diversity in our occupier base over the coming few months.”
