Keele House is Bardsley’s first project with Ladson Developments

Dukinfield firm Bardsley appointed to £3.86m Keele House development

Bardsley Construction, the Dukinfield-based building firm, has been chosen to work on a multi-million pound student apartment development in Staffordshire.

The £3.86m project, which is Bardsley’s first with Cheadle-based developer Ladson, comprises 160 studio apartments and a gym for residents.

As part of the deal, Bardsley will refurbish and remodel Blackburn House in Newcastle-under-Lyme, transforming the 1970s property into a new site to be known as Keele House.

The firm’s work on the project will include new windows and over cladding, along with an internal fit-out and full electrical installation.

Bardsley’s procurement director, Ged Rooney, said: “Our first project with Ladson Developments provides concrete evidence of our longstanding and hard-earned reputation for the delivery of high quality residential developments for the private and public sectors in the North West and Yorkshire spreading to the north Midlands and we look forward to securing further contracts in the region.”

Founded in 1964, Bardsley Construction today has a turnover of more than £50m.

The company will commence work on the Keele House project this month, with completion due in December.
