Newcastle marketing duo Andrew and Pete gather big names to launch innovative digital conference
Newcastle-based marketing agency Andrew and Pete, run by Andrew Pickering and Peter Gartland, have today launched Rule Breakers, a large-scale online conference set up to bring leading content to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The conference takes place online on the 9th May until the 13th May and is “free to attend from the comfort of your own home or office”, say the pair. The duo say their aim is to get “tens of thousands of people” attending the conference and learning from speakers who understand how to make businesses stand out.
On the event’s premise, the pair explained that, “nobody has ever got to the top doing what everyone else is doing. To succeed, we need to get away from the mediocrity, dare to be different and achieve something amazing. We need to innovate, lead, break the mould. We need to be Rule Breakers.”
“This conference is for anybody who wants to get away from being average and instead wants to stand out and build a successful business.”
Marketing authorities speaking at the event include names such as Michael Stelzner, founder of Social Media Examiner and John Lee Dumas, known for the ‘Best of iTunes’ podcast, Entrepreneur On Fire.
The conference, which has already attracted local sponsors such as Bdaily, also aims to showcase North East talent. Featured regional talent includes award-winning speaker and author Geoff Ramm, former Apprentice contestant Katie Bulmer-Cooke and conference hosts Andrew and Pete themselves.
Purely online, the conference’s sessions are delivered via email, which also includes participation in discussion as well as online networking too.
“It’s just like a regular conference, but one you can attend in your pyjamas!”
You can attend the free conference here, with the option to purchase an annual ticket to Andrew and Pete’s membership site atomic, to get access to the sessions for a whole year.
Sarah Callender, MD at Bdaily, said: “The reason Bdaily is involved with this, and was actually one of the first names to partner with Andrew and Pete on this project, is because it embodies exactly Bdaily is all about.
“We are digital through and through and we like to push boundaries - exactly what this conference aims to do. It’s innovative and we know it’s going to be a great success, I encourage anyone who is passionate about digital and content creation to get involved.”
