Enterprise Nation’s Berlin mission to open doors for UK creative exports
London-based small business support group Enterprise Nation has announced it is to host a trade mission to Berlin that aims to put British designer labels and suppliers with German buyers and influencers.
The group will jet out to the German capital on May 19 as part of a three-day mission that will give 40 small businesses access to buyers, a chance to take part in a British fashion pop-up as well as hearing from successful firms who have broken into the German market.
It is part of their ongoing Go Global campaign, a collaboration between Enterprise Nation and international logistics company UPS, that aims to open up new export markets for smaller businesses.
As Europe’s largest economy, and one of the UK’s top five export countries, Germany provides significant opportunities for small British businesses. A sentiment echoed by Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, who was commenting as the group opened up applications for spots on the mission.
She said: “Germany is the strongest economy in the EU and Berlin is right at the heart of its emerging position as an important player in the fashion world.
“Berlin is a city full of energy, it’s where it’s at creatively and where smaller, edgy fashion brands and suppliers can find good commercial opportunities.
“There are already strong trade links between the UK and Germany, so this short, concentrated mission will be a wonderful opportunity for the smallest firms to pick up advice and build solid relationships to boost confidence and sales.”
