Leeds Manufacturer Flying the Flag for U.K Production
Leeds based Northern Flags, the UK arm of Europe’s largest printed fabrics supplier, Faber Vlaggen, has re-established its UK Print and Finishing operation after an 8 year hiatus. With an already established high-end production line in Poland and a state of the art Digital and Screen facility in Thailand, Northern Flags was already positioned at the forefront of the U.K print market. However, recent growth and constantly striving to have industry leading turnaround times have led Northern Flags to invest significantly in a local, wide format facility.
The Print Facility launched this month with the delivery of a 2.5M D-Gen Black printer, specifically selected for its ability to deliver excellent show-through for the core flag products as well as exceptional quality on display fabrics.
Managing Director at Northern Flags, Iain Clasper-Cotte stated:
’Having spent 2 years planning the launch of the print facility, we were delighted to find a manufacturer that understood our needs. R.A. Smart of Macclesfield and D-Gen worked alongside us and developed exclusive profiles for our machines, enabling us to match the quality from our Group Digital facility in Poland. My highlight of the first launch phase was that we were able to welcome back two of our original seamstresses as part of our sewing team. We are creating job opportunities here in Leeds and embracing innovative print technology that is sure to take Northern Flags to the next level.“
In addition Northern Flags has also established a new Pick and Pack Centre to hold large stocks of custom POS as well as hardware for clients.
