Everton team up with Verteda to boost fan experience
Everton FC have teamed up with Verteda, the Warrington-based business services firm, to enhance the experience on offer for fans at Goodison Park.
Working alongside the club’s hospitality partner Sodexo Prestige, Verteda is deploying a stadium-wide solution across Goodison’s hospitality areas and public concession stands.
With the first phase going live last October and bringing InfoGenesis point-of-sale software, running on 142 new terminals, to the grounds, subsequent phases to go live in the coming weeks and months will give fans the option of cashless and contactless payments.
Verteda also plans to install its Voom loyalty service on the POS terminals to give EFC supporters access to discounts and various other promotions.
Commenting on the upgrade, the head of IT at Everton, Phil Davies, said: “It was clearly time to revamp the set-up at Goodison Park, to replace ageing EPOS software and hardware that made operations extremely difficult.
“We wanted to work with a trusted provider and leading-edge technology. Everton FC was keen for us to be involved in the decision, and we recommended Verteda after I saw a presentation of their capabilities at Southampton FC and was very excited by it.”
He continued: “In addition to improving operational effectiveness and efficiency, we’re improving the fan experience - matching if not exceeding the ‘high street offer’ in terms of speed and quality of service.”
