Leeds event planner boosts portfolio with Belvoir Castle and Carlton Towers

Dine, the Leeds-based event planner, is targeting further growth after adding two historic venues to its portfolio for corporate hospitality and weddings.

Dine has agreed exclusive partnerships with ducal ancestral homes Carlton Towers in North Yorkshire and Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire.

The new partnerships are part of Dine’s expansion plans for 2016 as the business looks to take advantage of a resurgent corporate hospitality market and grow turnover.

Dine posted group turnover of £2.37m in the financial year 2014-15, which ended in October 2015, boosted by year-on-year growth for its outside catering division Dine Events.

The new venues extend Dine’s footprint for bespoke hospitality experiences across the Midlands and North of England.

Carlton Towers is a Victorian, Gothic-style country house near Goole and the ancestral home of the Duke of Norfolk’s family. Dine has agreed a five-year deal to operate a lakeside marquee and private island and to provide support to drive sales.

Belvoir Castle, near Grantham, is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland. Dine will work alongside the castle’s in-house team to promote and stage weddings, teambuilding events and parties in the grounds.

The marquees, which can house up to 400 guests, have been custom-made for Dine by canvas specialist Shades.

Established in 1998, Dine caters for more than 100 corporate events and 200 weddings a year as well as providing exclusive private dining. The company provides event services for organisations ranging from English Heritage and the National Trust to the owners of some of the UK’s most notable private houses.
