North West fish wholesaler secures funding for growth
A new fish wholesaler, founded in 2015, has secured additional funding from Genesis Asset Finance to support its growth. From a standing start late last year the company has grown significantly, supplying independent hotels and restaurants throughout the North West; the company also secured a prestigious contract to supply an upmarket supermarket chain with all the fresh fish sold on their fish counters as well as own-label products.
As the business has grown further investment was required to improve production efficiency and drive increased sales volumes. Having identified the equipment required the Directors contacted Mulberry Asset Finance to arrange the funding, who recommended Genesis Asset Finance.
Mike Robinson, of Mulberry Asset Finance, said “Genesis Asset Finance’s approach made them the right funder for this proposal. Within a few hours a meeting had been arranged with the client for the following day; Genesis’ prompt actions and willingness to structure a facility to support the growth of the business showed a desire to assist at short notice.”
Andrew Frost, Business Development Manager at Genesis Asset Finance, added “At Genesis we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, meeting with prospective clients to discuss their funding needs. In this instance, meeting the Directors led to an understanding of the business case for the investment. Being able to work quickly was critical, and our short reporting lines meant that we could structure a facility and draw down funds in less than 3 working days. We’re delighted to support the company continue its already impressive growth.”
