Fit-out work begins at Fox Valley’s brand new Aldi store in Sheffield
The internal fit out work has started on Aldiâs brand new 20,000 sq. ft. foodstore at Fox Valley in north Sheffield.
The Fox Valley contractors, Henry Boot Construction, have completed the main building work on the Aldi and the supermarketâs fit out team have now moved on to site to start the internal works ready for a June 16th opening.
Aldi will anchor the brand new £50m town centre scheme which is bringing 144,000 sq ft of new retail space to north Sheffield as well as high quality office space and brand new family homes on an adjacent site.
Aldiâs new 20,000 sq. ft. format store at Fox Valley, will be one of the German food retailer’s largest stores in the region.
Glen Stidever, property director at Aldi, said: âWe are delighted to be investing in Fox Valley in north Sheffield and really pleased to be on site now fitting out our Fox Valley store in preparation for opening in June.“
Fox Valley is a brand new town centre development by South Yorkshire based Dransfield Properties Ltd, the development is creating hundreds of new jobs in the town.
Mark Dransfield, managing director of Dransfield Properties Ltd, added: âWe started work on that part of the site after construction work had commenced on the rest of the development so it is great to see the progress that has been made in the last few months.
âWeâre delighted to be working with Aldi on the companyâs new Fox Valley store and are confident that it will be a great foodstore anchor to our development when it opens in June.
âWe have worked with Aldi since Dransfield Properties was first founded in 1992 and the new Fox Valley store will be our 24th Aldi.“
Work has also started on the new Stonebridge Homes development at Fox Valley which will bring 118 new homes to the area.
