Plans submitted for 257 apartments at Liverpool’s Queens Dock
After successfully converting the former HMRC building at Queens Dock, Liverpool, into the 240-apartment Keel development, developers have submitted plans to deliver hundreds more homes at the waterfront site.
Property investment firm Moorfield Group and developer Glenbrook are seeking planning consent for a further 257 apartments on the remaining land surrounding The Keel.
Having launched the first part of the residential scheme in September last year, the project is now close to fully let.
Architecture firm Brock Carmichael, which has offices in Liverpool, London and Hong Kong, has provided designs for the new development.
Discussing part two of The Keel, Glenbrook director Guy Butler said: “Liverpool has a very healthy residential market and The Keel has become a firm favourite with renters in the city thanks to the spacious apartments with waterside views, and the enviable location on the riverside with good links to the city.
“We have worked closely with Liverpool City Council to design a scheme that sits comfortably alongside The Keel and the wider environment, whilst respecting the buffer zone of the World Heritage Site.”
He continued: “This new development will provide much needed housing in an accessible and attractive location and, as with all of our schemes, will be delivered to the highest design and management standards.”
