Growth leads to big move for Liverpool firm Studio Mashbo
A digital agency in Liverpool has moved to a new office in the heart of the city’s business district following a series of hires and new client wins.
Studio Mashbo, which has satellite offices in London and Manchester, secured briefs with Liverpool FC, Zurich-based reinsurance firm SwissRE and television director Paul Caslin, as well as entertainment giant NBC Universal through its partnership with Manchester-based communications agency Inc.
To accommodate the growth, bosses at Studio Mashbo made the decision to relocate to a new office in the Cotton Exchange building on Old Hall Street.
Now, Studio Mashbo has strengthened its team with the appointment of Bridget Waters in the role of proposal manager and bid writer, Vincent Atanasov as a front-end developer and Holly Redman as an apprentice studio assistant.
Elsewhere, the firm welcomed Wayne Malcolm, the co-founder of communications consultancy Bread Media, in a non-executive role to support Studio Mashbo co-founders Gavin Sherratt, Liam Potter and Steve Todd in their continued business and personal development.
Managing director Gavin commented: “We’ve come a long way in the last fours from our little box room office above a sex shop on Colquitt Street in Liverpool’s Ropewalks area to our new space in the Cotton Exchange on Bixteth Street in the city’s commercial district.”
Speaking further, Gavin said the firm’s focus has gradually shifted from processes and values to people, allowing Studio Mashbo to build the team necessary for achieving growth.
He continued: “To grow a great business we have to have great people who care and this is shown with some the work we are now working on with global brands and social values projects with likes of Alder Hey Fresh CAHMS, supporting young people with mental health issues.”
