Multi-million pound investment sees Elton manufacturer double production capacity

Glass manufacturer and contract bottler Encirc Beverages has doubled its soft drinks production capacity after making a multi-million pound investment at its Cheshire plant.

The Elton-based firm installed a second drinks blending stream to allow ingredients to be mixed at high speeds into syrups, ready for diluting and bottling.

In addition to the new machinery, Encirc has also upgraded its existing equipment by transforming two storage vessels into new batch mix vessels, while two others will now be used for storing fruit concentrates after being fitted with chilling technology.

Encirc’s technical manager, David Lynn, said: “As a company, we’ve seen some impressive growth in demand for our manufacturing and filling services over the last 12 months, so it’s crucial that we do all we can to ensure we can satisfy our customers’ needs now and in the future.

“This investment is not just about meeting demand though.”

He continued: “It’s vital to help us further improve the quality of the drinks we fill to ensure we continue to provide the best possible service both to our customers and to end-consumers.”
