Two entrepreneurial restaurateurs to bring Istanbul street food to Marylebone
A new Turkish restaurant is to open in Marylebone this summer which will bring Istanbul-inspired street food to the capital.
YOSMA is a new Turkish Meyhane and Manga casual barbecue restaurant, the brainchild of restaurateurs Levent Buyukugur and Sanjay Nandi, which will be situated on Baker Street.
Levent and Sanjay are most well-known as the entrepreneurial pairing behind the hospitality group, the Good Food Society, which launched Ristorante Frescobaldi in 2014 with Italian wine dynasty, the Frescobaldis.
The 4,814 sq ft, 150-cover restaurant is scheduled to open in June with a culinary line-up headed up by Hus Vedat, who has formerly worked at Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa restaurant in the City of London.
West-End commercial and leisure agents Resturant Property, who specialise in restaurant acquisitions and disposals, advised on the sale which will see YOSMA replace Indali Lounge and join the likes of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Chiltern Firehouse and Nando’s in the heart of Marylebone.
Sally French, Head of Sales at Restaurant Property, said: “We are delighted to be part of this exciting deal - Marylebone is fast becoming one of London’s hottest dining destinations.”
