Nolan Redshaw secures buyer for Radcliffe site ravaged in 2012 blaze
Commercial property agent Nolan Redshaw has secured a buyer for a prominent piece of land in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, that was once the site of a factory fire.
The firm sold the 0.65-acre site, located on Bury Road, to an investor for an undisclosed sum.
The site previously formed part of the Wilton House factory, but the facility was subject to a fire in 2012 when a broken gas pipe caused a small explosion, according to The Independent.
Paul Nolan, a director at Bury-based Nolan Redshaw said that a number of investors expressed an interest in acquiring the land.
He explained: “There was a great deal of interest in the site straightaway and the site has the potential for a number of different development scenarios.
“It is understood that the site will be sold for a figure slightly in excess of the asking price.”
