Housebuilder Bellway establishes Birchwood Park base
Property development firm Bellway has moved its Manchester division to Bridgewater Place at Birchwood Park.
The company snapped up 9,024 sq ft at 304 Bridgewater Place to join a number of other national and international organisations at the Cheshire business hub, including automaker Rolls-Royce, engineering giant Amec Foster Wheeler and energy supplier Electricity North West.
With Bellway positioned at Bridgewater Place, all five of the development’s buildings are now fully let.
The divisional managing director of Bellway Homes, Stuart Gray, commented: “Birchwood Park is the ideal location for our Manchester division – its accessibility to the transport network ensures we are within easy reach of our Manchester projects, and are conveniently located for meetings and conferences.
“Our new office has given the team a real boost.”
He continued: “We have built an enviable reputation for our high standard of service and build quality, and the quality of our new home at Birchwood Park reflects this.”
Bellway, a FSTE 250-listed company, has built more than 100k homes in just under 70 years.
Birchwood Park, near Warrington, is managed by German real estate services firm Patrizia Immobilien AG, which last year increased its North West portfolio with the acquisition of the 20-acre First Street development in Manchester.
Martin O’Rourke, Birchwood Park’s commercial director, said: “After a comprehensive search across the local area, we are delighted that Bellway has chosen Bridgewater Place for its Manchester division.
“Birchwood Park’s ability to provide flexible, high quality space, its connectivity and impressive amenities make it a viable, cost effective option for companies looking to locate in the Greater Manchester region.”
He added: “Birchwood Park is a great fit for Bellway, and I’m confident that its new office will provide the business with an excellent base from which it will continue to flourish.”
Property and business services firms JLL and BE Group advised Patrizia during the deal.
