Cheshire-based entrepreneur launches Wilmslow startup My Next Place
A property specialist in Cheshire has established a new estate agents with a digital twist.
Helen Gardner, who carved out her career growing Nottingham-based lettings firm Katie Homes, has sold her stake in the business and relocated to the North West to form My Next Place.
Based on Church Street in Wilmslow, the company is aiming to take an entrepreneurial and digital-savvy approach with its services, which will include the creation of personalised property videos to showcase local market knowledge and target key social audiences.
The company will provide residential lettings, sales and commercial property services across south Manchester.
Discussing the launch of My Next Place, Helen said she believes there is a gap in the market for an estate agents that combines emerging technologies with a “friendly [and] insightful” high street presence.
She said: “Like many entrepreneurs, I have developed a business proposition on the back of frustrations with the existing market.
“While it’s great to see businesses embracing digital, clients lack the reassurance of a known local contact and the convenience of a welcoming, high street presence to back that up.”
She continued: “I’m proud of our traditional values of honesty and reliability but I’m equally unashamed of our appetite to innovate and evolve in what is a fast-moving sector.
“Ultimately it’s about creating a great client experience as this is right at the heart of what we do.”
