Morecambe-based AM Services Group acquires family firm
Facilities management firm AM Services Group Limited has acquired Stoke-on-Trent-based cleaning company Cleanex Contract Services Limited.
The Morecambe-headquartered group, which incorporates the AM Support Services and Pristine Washrooms brands, has expanded its business portfolio after completing the acquisition for an undisclosed sum.
A team from law firm Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office advised Cleanex’s majority shareholders David and Rebekah Gardner during the transaction, with the Manchester office of accountants CLB Cooper offering corporate finance advice.
Hill Dickinson partner David Mkhitarian led the advisory team, which included Sean Lightfoot (Corporate), Rebecca Layton (Banking) and Tom Slinger (Employment).
David commented: “We are delighted to have worked with the Gardner family to advise on the sale of Cleanex Contract Service Limited.
“The family has firmly established the brand and has developed an unrivalled operation over the past 20 years which is recognised on a national level.”
Established in 1992, today Cleanex Contract Services provides large scale cleaning services for an industrial and commercial client base.
CLB Coopers partner Andy Feeke, who was also involved in the deal, commented: “Cleanex is exactly the type of corporate finance client we work with at CLB Coopers; a business that has been built by an ambitious and hugely dedicated owner-manager and one who is now looking to exit the business and pass it to new owners with growth plans for the future.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the outgoing owners of Cleanex and to build such a great working relationship with them.”
