Easi-Drive to create 60 jobs in Manchester with seven-figure funding boost

Traffic accident management firm Easi-Drive has expanded its fleet of vehicles and plans to take on a raft of new employees with seven-figure funding from Yorkshire Bank.

The Manchester-based firm, which is part of post-accident services company EDAM Group, has increased its fleet from 850 to 1400 and intends to hire around 60 new employees over the next 12 months.

The cash boost will also be used to support future acquisitions and property purchases, which are two of managing director Steve Turner’s main goals.

Yorkshire Bank’s relationship manager Stephen Cox and asset finance manager Amanda Miller arranged the deal. Both work at the firm’s Manchester-based Business and Private Banking Centre.

MD Steve commented: “We’ve worked with Yorkshire Bank for about eight years and have a great relationship with the team.

“Continued growth is a major goal on our agenda and this funding gives us the flexibility to take advantage of future opportunities while significantly investing in recruitment.”

In 2015, EDAM Group reported a record turnover of £35m, up from £27.5m the year previous. The group employs 230 people across its Manchester HQ and additional depots in Horsham, Bristol and Hitchin.

The head of the Business and Private Banking Centre, Sean Williams, commented: “EDAM Group is a highly-regarded company in Manchester which has won a number of awards.

“In the last year, the company grew staff numbers by 20% and is now looking to increase that number even further during the next 12 months.”

He added: “The business’ growth looks set to continue and we are proud to have provided funding to support future developments.”
