Dreamr and Athletec Shortlisted in Big Chip Awards
Corner App Packs a Punch
Dreamr and Athletec have been shortlisted for Most Innovative Application of Technology in the Big Chip Awards 2016 for the Corner App.
Big Chip, the UK’s longest running digital awards, and the biggest outside the capital, have rigorous judging standards meaning that they are well respected within the industry.
Corner is the first complete boxing performance tracker. It comprises a complete Internet of Things solution, which uses unobtrusive wrist-worn sensors, fitting underneath the boxing gloves. The app provides a cutting-edge solution for elite athletes, and yet remains accessible to any athlete committed to improving their performance, making it the perfect training partner, and a unique link between the physical and digital worlds.
CEO of Athletec, Charles Burr commented: “Athletec and Dreamr have worked extremely hard to harness this new technology to its best advantage and we are very proud of what our collaboration has achieved so far”.
Mylo Kaye, Head of Digital said: “We are especially delighted to be shortlisted for an award based around innovation and technology, which are things we are so passionate about at Dreamr”.
Corner app launched at Las Vegas, International CES 2016, and will be available in the second half of the year.
Mylo added: “It’s great to work alongside such talented people as Jerry and Charles, who have pioneered a new way of combining wrist-worn sensors with phone technology resulting in the creation of this innovative app”.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at Manchester’s prestigious Midland Hotel on June 23rd.
