Manchester entrepreneur launches digital startup Right Trades
Manchester-based entrepreneur Stuart Harvey has teamed up with digital agency e3creative to launch Right Trades, an online platform providing a one-stop trades service.
The new company hosts qualified, third-party assessed tradespeople offering services for projects ranging from smaller residential jobs such as appliance installation or room painting to larger, ongoing projects with local contractors or national firms.
An electrician by trade, Stuart first approached e3creative with his ideas for Right Trades two years ago. The startup soft launched its system last month and the full website is set to go live for public use in June.
Stuart commented: “Now that the technology is in place, we know we’ve created a great product that has the capacity to accomplish big things.
“Growth is important to us but we recognise it needs to be achieved properly. Trade partners are a big part of our business.”
He continued: “Our successes are essentially linked, considering the better they perform – the better we do and vice versa. This is why we want all of our partners to take ownership and be proud to part of this game-changing community.”
e3creative’s managing director, Jake Welsh, said he was intrigued by the opportunity to work with Stuart and help bring his ideas to fruition.
Jake said: “Stuart’s passion for the project was compelling. I later researched points in his business plan and really couldn’t find anything similar that benefits both the trade partner and the customer.
“The amount of work required to bring Stuart’s concept to life was substantial. I guess the biggest challenge for us was taking this revolutionary idea and creating a workable system.”
He added: “Once we’d nailed the logistics, we dove right into design and development.”
Now, Right Trades is recruiting trade partners across the North West and Yorkshire but plans to service the whole UK within the next year. The firm will continue to work alongside e3creative, which will handle its PR and marketing and maintain both its online platform and mobile app.
