Online furniture retailer Rose & Grey to launch £50k Altrincham store
The husband and wife duo behind Rose & Grey, an online furniture and home accessories retailer, are set to open their first bricks-and-mortar shop in Altrincham next month.
Entrepreneurs Guy and Lyndsey Goodger are aiming to hit £1m worth of sales after investing £50k in the store on Atlantic Street.
Having established Rose & Grey eight years ago, the pair hope to expand their customer base and champion family-run firms with the new showroom, which will allow customers to browse a collection of the couple’s favourite products from Rose & Grey’s online range.
The firm’s portfolio includes armchairs, sofas, dining tables and accessories such as wallpaper, lighting and kitchenware, with brands such as Madam Stoltz, Abigail Ahern and Nkuku represented along with close to 30 others.
Lyndsey commented: “We started the business with a capsule collection of vintage leather furniture and quickly realised that there was scope to expand our range of beautifully made, quality furniture.
“We spotted that people were becoming increasingly savvy about the pieces they chose for their home and wanted statement items that would stand the test of time.”
She continued: “As such, we began sourcing an eclectic range of vintage, industrial items with a Scandinavian aesthetic and they really proved a hit!
“Of course, online shopping has its advantages but there is simply no substitute for having a product in front of you to test for yourself.”
Speaking further, Lyndsey said she is excited to become part of the town’s business community.
The Altrincham store is due to open its doors on June 4.
Lyndsey, who formerly worked as an acquisition manager for broadcaster Channel 4, continued: “We aim to become the ‘go-to’ place for those looking to enhance their own home, as well as interior designers searching for that special piece for a client.
“Altrincham is quickly becoming a hub of business growth and we’re thrilled to be part of the area at such an exciting time.”
