Meet at ‘Number 10’ with Cabinet Rooms Launch
Taking a seat at the conference table of Number 10 has suddenly become a lot less about your Brexit ‘camp’ or manifesto promises, and much more about bringing great minds together, as The Lion Quays Hotel & Spa, Oswestry in Shropshire, has taken inspiration from the home of British political power for the transformation of its ‘Cabinet Rooms’ conference centre.
The development has created four new meeting rooms - The Cabinet Room, Westminster Room, Number 10 and Number 11, and means that the venue now boasts a capacity of up to 122 delegates for meetings and training sessions, plus it offers an additional large banqueting suite that is suitable for meetings of up to 400 delegates.
The renovated ‘Cabinet Rooms’ are located in a dedicated business zone of the Hotel and each offers a unique interior design that pays homage to the Westminster corridors of power. All are tastefully decorated in contemporary furnishings with lots of natural daylight, a wall mounted television and presentation technology, conference call facilities as well as Wi Fi and complimentary stationery, plus delegates can make use of the fun ‘Sweet Cabinet’ - offering a choice of teas/coffees, popcorn, slush and a variety of retro pick and mix! The Cabinet Room itself has a specific breakout space with breath taking views of the surrounding countryside.
The Hotel offers all delegates bespoke menus for business dinners and banquets as well as four star luxury facilities with 82 en-suite bedrooms, bar and multiple restaurants including waterside dining. A top-end country club and spa is purposefully located at the opposite side of the Hotel from the meeting rooms, eliminating any potential disruption to the creative business thinking of its conference guests, whist ensuring a Zen-like ambience for leisure users. Substantial grounds are available for team building experiences.
Colin Jenno, general manager from Lion Quays said: “We have experienced a steady growth in our conference clients and, as such, we wanted to take our facilities to the next level. Whether it’s a high-level summit meeting or a brainstorm meeting with the ‘front bench’ team, our ‘Cabinet Rooms’ offer a new dimension to conference facilities in Shropshire. The top-notch level of amenities means that our clients want for nothing during their stay with us, and coupled with the fact that we can now cater for events from just 2 delegates to up to 400 means that we are suited to companies of all sizes.”
Colin added: “The contemporary colourways give the rooms the perfect ambience no matter what vital top level talks are taking place and the natural daylight is of course a welcome bonus. We have the added advantage of being located within 45 mins of Shrewsbury, Chester, Wales and Manchester with excellent local train and motorway connections, and yet, the surrounding countryside ensures that clients can also include any outbound activities in their itineraries.”
