Liverpool FC to host final job fair of biggest ever recruitment drive

Liverpool FC are set to hold their final recruitment fair later today (May 26) for those interested in finding out more about the new matchday jobs available at Anfield with the expansion of the Main Stand.

Earlier this year, Liverpool announced a plan to fill 1,000 jobs in what has become the biggest recruitment drive in the club’s 123-year history.

New catering facilities in the expanded part of Anfield have increased openings for chefs, porters and kitchen runners, while the Reds’ broadened hospitality offer has created roles for waiting and bar staff.

LFC’s human resources director, Lise Jenkins, said: “We are delighted that the expansion of the Main Stand has given a huge number of people an opportunity to become part of our football family.

“This latest recruitment event is a great way to access a wide range of new roles at Anfield and we’d encourage anyone interested to attend.”

In March, Liverpool released CGIs of the expanded Main Stand, with two new concourses featuring wall graphics that reflect the club’s history using old matchday programme-style lettering. Once complete, it will be one of the biggest all-seater single stands in European football.

The city’s deputy mayor, Cllr Ann O’Byrne, commented: “Ensuring people in Anfield and north Liverpool have access to employment is an absolute priority for the partners behind the regeneration.

“There will be many more jobs and apprenticeships created as the project continues, but this is a really important moment for Anfield with the stadium expansion nearing completion and the club offering hundreds of matchday roles as part of its major recruitment drive.”

The job fair will be held at Anfield between 4pm and 7pm.
