Cheadle builder Chrome Services to construct £9m Highbank development

Manchester developer Real Estate Investment Partnerships Ltd has chosen building firm Chrome Services to construct its £9m Highbank on Green Walk scheme in Bowdon, Greater Manchester.

The 15,700 sq ft development, designed by North West architects Ollier Smurthwaite, will comprise seven apartments, two cottages, two semi-detached houses and a detached property.

Built in 1861 the existing property on the site, located in Bowdon’s predominantly Victorian conservation area, was previously home to The Transform Group.

Discussing Chrome Services’ appointment on the £3m contract, the Cheadle-based firm’s director, Adrian Dale, said: “This is a really exciting project. We’ve already made some great progress on site and look forward to helping transform this historic building, which is in need of some TLC.

“Delivering a high-end, sought-after development is always very rewarding and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

Elsewhere, Real Estate Investment Partnerships has brought the penthouse element of Highbank on Green Walk to market. The 2,000 sq ft, three-bedroom property includes four bathrooms and a gym, sauna, library and study across two levels.

He continued: “Green Walk is in one of the area’s most prestigious postcodes, with fantastic local amenities, as well as sitting a mere stone’s throw from Hale and the up-and-coming town of Altrincham, which is also undergoing significant redevelopment.”

Chrome Services’ work on the project is due for completion in June next year.
