Jobs created as Halifax hotel opens new restaurant
The Rock Hotel, based in Holywell Green, Halifax, has opened a new restaurant creating seven new jobs.
Specialising in locally-sourced Yorkshire beef burgers, Rock Burger Kitchen officially opened its doors to the public on Saturday 4 June.
With the new team, renovated restaurant and local suppliers, the burger menu includes British beef from R&J catering butchers, a free range farm in the Yorkshire Dales. Deli Fresh will provide seasonal vegetables.
The Rock Hotel is located in the village of Holywell Green, which is just a short drive from Halifax and Huddersfield and situated halfway between Leeds and Manchester on the M62.
The Rock Burger Kitchen is the new name of the restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and all of the food is homemade and locally sourced.
Owner Paul Anderson is also using the launch of the new restaurant as a way to give something back to the community too. As such, for every classic Rock Burger sold, 50p will go to local charity, Overgate Hospice, based just one mile away from the Rock hotel and restaurant.
Paul commented: “With a new team, look and menu we aim to provide something different for the area.
“Our chef has sourced some top class suppliers to ensure we provide high-quality burgers and we have ambitious plans to become the go-to place to enjoy a good burger in Calderdale.”
