Female-only business network expands into Manchester

A women-only business network is about to expand its North West footprint with a new franchise in Manchester city centre.

Pink Link Ladies is hoping to encourage more women to become entrepreneurs with its new Manchester group, which joins existing networks in Chorley, Lancaster, Lytham, Bolton, Blackpool and Preston.

Founded by Coral Horn in 2009, Pink Link promotes female entrepreneurship by connecting businesswomen and giving them a forum for sharing their knowledge and experiences

Coral commented: “Only 17% of women run their own businesses in the UK compared to 51% of women in America.

“If we can encourage, support and inspire women into business we can help them to be more successful.”

She added: “We know the model works and have hundreds of members who attend the local groups and we want to impact a wider scope of women so they too can benefit from connecting locally.”

The Manchester franchise launch is being supported by NatWest with a free Pink Ladies event to be held at the RBS building in Spinningfields on June 30.
