My Pension Expert welcomes Doncaster dignitaries
Doncaster-based My Pension Expert has showcased its recent rapid expansion – including a 40 per cent increase in staff numbers, by hosting a duo of local dignitaries at its Hayfield Business Park headquarters on Wednesday 8 June 2016.
Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones was joined by Cllr Bill Mordue, Cabinet Member for Business in a tour of the financial leader’s premises led by Scott Mullen, director at My Pension Expert.
The entrepreneur divulged the firm’s secrets to success and its bold plans for the town’s future, giving the pair a deeper insight into the company’s achievements to date. At the top of the agenda was the outcome of its latest recruitment drive.
Since March, My Pension Expert has placed over 30 local people into new jobs, bolstering the firm’s total employee headcount to around 120 at its Doncaster site. Of these new roles, the company’s sales force has doubled in the last month alone.
The new team members will all benefit from initial four week training, with many climbing the career ladder by being paid to undertake financial qualifications. With around £4,000 invested in training per employee, the total sum for the latest recruits is estimated at almost £130,000.
Scott Mullen, director at My Pension Expert, said: “At My Pension Expert, we are passionate advocates of Doncaster and employing local people. We were extremely proud to open our doors to our dignified guests today to demonstrate how our latest drive reinforces this and show that the town is full of a lot of up-and-coming talent.”
More local jobs are also promised later this year as the company plans to extend its dedicated Equity Release team from five employees to 50.
Mullen added: “We believe that with the right training and support, many local people can go on to carve professional and competitive careers right here in their home town. In turn, this will help us to not only give our customers the best return on their investments, but to carry on expanding as a business and put Doncaster on the map as a hotbed for leading financial services.”
During the visit, the Mayor also heard how My Pension Expert has quickly risen to become the UK’s largest pension annuities advisory firm, based on its innovative approach to providing pension advice and support.
Formed in 2012 by local entrepreneurs Scott Mullen, Richard Morrall and Andy Binns, the specialist financial services firm has enjoyed over 100% year-on-year growth since its conception by building on its unique proposition within the industry.
Differentiating itself in the marketplace with a combination of pioneering technology and personable support, My Pension Expert ensures its customers access the maximum retirement income for their pension. It is this method which has boosted the company’s growth and led to its commendation as a five star provider through independent customer service platform, TrustPilot.
My Pension Expert is now forecasting even greater growth following its significant surge in staff and last year’s merger with global marketing technology firm, Clicksco Group.
Mullen added: “Our growth to date has been phenomenal and we were honoured to share our success and ambitions with the Mayor and explain how we are perfectly placed to see this continue.
“As a result of the merger, we have been able to access Clicksco’s big data and lead generation services to strengthen our positioning in the financial services industry. Coupled with our exemplary advisory expertise, much of which is being provided by the latest additions to our team, this promises to support our aim of helping Doncaster to become a centre for financial services excellence.”
Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, said: “It is fantastic to be able to visit another successful business that is helping the borough to thrive through their investment in employees to help them achieve success in their home town.
“We are working to help ensure our young people can seize the opportunities that My Pension Expert offers - putting Doncaster on the map as a centre for financial services excellence.”
