Restaurant firm to double footprint through £350k fundraising bid on Seedrs
Equity crowdfunding site Seedrs is providing restaurant company Meatcure with a platform for unlocking UK-wide growth.
Leicestershire firm Meatcure is using the London-based startup investment website to raise £350k as it seeks to launch five new restaurants in market towns across the UK.
After opening its first eatery in Market Harborough in 2014, the company achieved £14k in sales in its opening week.
Seedrs’ campaign success manager, Ekaterina Steube, commented: “We are excited to welcome Meatcure on to Seedrs.
“The brand is all about great food, world-class customer experience and supporting local suppliers, and their campaign reflects that.”
She added: “The team is exceptionally focused with highly experienced founders and we look forward to seeing the business scale.”
Meatcure currently operates three restaurants, with its fourth due to open in Bedford in the coming weeks.
Meatcure co-founder Paul Rigby said of the fundraising bid: “There’s huge potential benefit to investing in Meatcure’s campaign.
“The way we build our restaurants is fast, fun and with a view to getting a good payback for our investors. It’s not rocket science, it’s mostly wood and lots of those trendy light bulbs.”
Paul continued: “Our aim is to create a backdrop for our impossibly good burgers, craft beers and killer cocktails.”
