Tickets in transmission for top music magazine
Data Transmission, an online dance-music magazine, has tuned in to become a new affiliate of Fatsoma, the UK’s leading event ticketing and marketing platform, enabling the site to co-promote and offer event tickets to its 300,000 monthly readership for the very first time.
This move will see the magazine progress from just promoting and listing key music events to actually selling tickets through their own virtual box office.
Grahame Farmer, Founder of Data Transmission, said: “I’m excited to be working with Fatsoma. When I saw their new system a few months ago, it blew me away with how ridiculously clever it is. It gives the power back to event promoters, has endless features and options for selling tickets, and most importantly, it’s simple to use for the average club and festival goer.
“The system makes buying a ticket easy again, a refreshing change for all music fans. I know many are put off by the hassle and time it takes when booking to see their favourite artists. This new business development is going to give us an edge, which is exciting! We have already seen over 35,000 people follow us on our Fatsoma page which is key to us packing out venues and fields across the UK.”
Paul Stacey, Fatsoma’s Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to be working closely with Data Transmission and giving them the technology to take new and exciting leaps with their keen and dedicated readership right behind them. The magazine is written and read by music enthusiasts so this step to sell tickets to their favourite gigs and festivals is such a natural one.
“Our very simple system will empower fans to buy their tickets quickly and without hassle. They can then use one of our unique offerings which is the ability to share information with their friends, family and fellow fans on all media platforms - hopefully encouraging a packed out and devoted audience for key music events. We hope this will mean an increase in the following, and of course sales, for Data Transmission to support their future growth.”
Tickets for all Data Transmission events will now be available to buy both from the magazine’s website and direct from the Fatsoma website.
